We love our volunteers! The Family Violence Center would not be able to function without them. Volunteers play an important role in the day-to-day operations by assisting us to enhance the quality of service provided to our residents and by helping us reduce operating costs through performing duties that would otherwise require hired service.
Volunteer opportunities are available in many areas and to varied levels of skill. Some need little or no experience, while others require a training program that is provided free of charge. Since it is important that volunteers have a good understanding of the effects of domestic violence on women and children, all volunteers are encouraged to attend an introductory session that is presented at least four times per year.
